The Group Rep presents "WHOOPSIE-DOOPSIE!"

Upstairs at the Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre is a relatively new black box theatre presenting a one-act comedy, "WHOOPSIE-DOOPSIE!" 

The flowers are in bloom in Cedar Glen, and Joannie is pregnant.  Joannie (Lavanya Aggarwal) is almost sure she took her birth control pills every day.  Billy (Robert Michael Grant), her boyfriend and voted the most popular boy in high school, is sure he wore a condom.  He didn’t want to tell Joannie that one time it broke.  Now the two of them wonder how in the world this happened to THEM…

Joannie and Billy are considering abortion, getting married, having the baby, adopting out after Joannie gives birth.  Each of these options is faced through numerous characters that help to bring these two to their final decision.  Robert Duquaine, Shalonda Shaw-Reese, Jane Bonham, Jody Bardin, Brad Kahn and Beccy Quinn put on different hats with tons of energy to give Joannie and Billy all the advice they could every need.  But, it comes down to what their decision will be.  The issues of teenage sex, abortion, sex education, Pro-choice and pro-life issues are raised and considered.

WHOOPSIE-DOOPSIE has a brief run in this great theatre upstairs at the Lonny Chapman Theatre.
